Looking down over the terrace gardens  from the balcony you could be in the country but you can just see the top of Canary Wharf in winter. Whilst the terrace was neglected Sycamore trees self-seeded in many of the gardens. They are now at the end of their useful lives. The tree at 38 was felled in 2005 because it had become unsafe.
